TextMate

After I got MacBook, it has many things I want to play(yes, I already have dellbook but don’t compare to real Mac ^^) and most thing I want to play is trackpad. It has many thing I like trackpad good, more graphic power for play game(Yes, I can play Spore like my sister notebook can). However, after play it more than 1 month. I want to change 1 thing, text editor. It has very few functions and bad for edit code. I’m very boring when create new text file and must change type of file all times to plain text. Yes, it like notepad plus wordpad but it’s not in separate package.
So, I find new editor first is vim but it hard to use it all time. It has many commands to learn and I must open help all time or googling for only search and replace command. Yes, I like it but for coding large project or more than one file it’s very hard to use. I find another tool and found Komodo editor. It has tab feature, code completion and many things I like for editor but it looks very large like IDE but can’t compile and have look and feel like KDE program so I removed it after test for only few days ^^. Another editor I tried is TextWrangle. It’s free and has many good points. It’s small, simple, has highlight color, can upload to ftp and free. I think it very good perfect editor on Mac and I may use it forever until I found TextMate.
TextMate is a very simple and complex editor I have found. It like Komodo combine with TextWrangle, has code completion, can create project for group file together, have code highlight and it has so many bundles that enhance it like powerful IDE. It can commit code to svn, git and many repositories type. However, it’s not free … it’s 5930 euro but it has all features I want and I love it after try in first time. So I brought and interesting many bundles it has on internet. It can write blog, tweet and do many things I never think editor can. 5930 euro … it’s very cheap for functional and great bundles it has and if others ask me which editor you suggest replacing plain editor on Mac, I will suggest TextMate (Although,for someone want free program I think TextWrangle is another program you should try).

ps. Sorry, I had a little confuse with dollar price. It’s 59 dollars not euro.
